Congratulations to the graduates of the 2023-2024 Leadership Lawrence County Adult & Youth Classes! Recently, these dedicated individuals completed their programs, marking the 32nd year of the Leadership Lawrence professional development opportunity.
As part of their commitment to bettering Lawrence County, this year’s Leadership Lawrence class embarked on a project to meet the needs and vision of Kid’s Place A Child Advocacy Center’s Bravery Bear Wall. Through fundraising efforts and ‘Bear Drives’ the class raised over 500+ bears for Kid’s Place. With their collective efforts, the class not only erected the Bravery Bear Wall but also installed a storage cabinet and additional containers to accommodate the growing number of bears.
The Leadership Lawrence program, tailored for Lawrence County residents, serves as a platform for developing leadership skills and deepening understanding of the local community. Through nine comprehensive sessions covering topics such as county history, government, and personal development, participants gain invaluable insights into life in Lawrence County.
