Leadership Lawrence Announces Class of 2023-2024

LAWRENCEBURG, Tenn. – September 6, 2023 – Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Lawrence Class of 2023-2024 convened on August 28th to kick off the 32nd class year of Leadership Lawrence.

Leadership Lawrence is a professional development opportunity that broadens perspectives and allows participants to gain increased understanding of the community dynamics and public issues. The class consists of those who live or work in Lawrence County and develops their leadership skills and knowledge of the county they serve.

The class entails nine sessions though out the year that includes Lawrence County history, local and state government, and personal and community development, along with other topics that pertain to life in Lawrence County. The class spent their first session on an overnight retreat at Five Star Retreat in Nunnelly, Tennessee, and focused on getting to know each other and team building. Kate Archer, Executive Assistant of Kid’s Place – A Child Advocacy Center, was the facilitator of the retreat and proctored all of the activities that the class participated in. Emma Thigpen, Program Manager, and Keeli Allen, VP of Community Development, will serve as the directors of the program. The retreat was sponsored by Lawrenceburg Utility Systems.
