LAWRENCEBURG, Tenn. – August 24, 2022 – Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Lawrence Class of 2022-2023 convened on August 15th to kick off the 31st class year of Leadership Lawrence.
Leadership Lawrence is a professional development opportunity that broadens perspectives and allows participants to gain increased understanding of the community dynamics and public issues. The class consists of those who live or work in Lawrence County and develops their leadership skills and knowledge of the county they serve.
The class entails nine sessions though out the year that includes Lawrence County history, local and state government, and personal and community development, along with other topics that pertain to life in Lawrence County. The class spent their first session on an overnight retreat to Pickwick Landing and focused on getting to know each other and team building. Lee Boyd, Communications Director of Lawrenceburg Utility Systems, and Kate Archer, Executive Assistant of Kid’s Place – A Child Advocacy Center, were the facilitators of the retreat and proctored all of the activities that the class participated in. Keeli Allen, VP of Community Development of Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce, will serve as the director of the program.
