LAWRENCEBURG, TN— The Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce its inaugural State of the County event was a great success. The event, which took place on Tuesday, January 30 at the Southern Tennessee Higher Education Center, provided a platform for key community leaders to share insights into critical issues, achievements, and upcoming initiatives shaping Lawrence County’s economic and social landscape. The 2024 State of the County was presented by ReMax Pros.
“Our Chamber is constantly looking for ways to get important information out into the community, and we were proud to partner with Lawrence County Government, LCSS, the cities of Lawrenceburg and Loretto, and ReMax Pros to pilot a new event designed to do just that,” explained Chamber President & CEO Ryan Egly. “We’re excited to grow this event and add additional capacity next year as we add this to our suite of annual events.”
Nearly 100 attendees gained valuable insights on the county’s progress and future directions from speakers, including Lawrence County Executive David Morgan, Michael Adkins (Director of Lawrence County School System), Loretto Mayor Steve McMasters, Lawrenceburg Mayor Blake Lay, and Jim Colson, founder of the economic development consulting firm AC Economics. Board Chairman Nakia McFall and Chamber President Ryan Egly moderated the event.
