LAWRENCEBURG, TENN—The Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce has launched its 2023 Shop Local Campaign to support small businesses. This campaign is designed to remind residents to first consider local businesses, products, and services as they buy gifts and host friends and family this Christmas.
“Sales from the holiday season can make or break the entire year for our small businesses,” Lawrence County Chamber President & CEO Ryan Egly stated in a press release. “When people spend their dollars locally, more money stays local. 64 percent of all new jobs in the U.S. come from small businesses, and it’s even more important for Lawrence County as our small businesses provide more than 6,500 jobs—73 percent of all local jobs.”
Beginning this week, Chamber staff will kick off the marketing efforts by distributing shop local signs and stickers to retailers and restaurants. Residents can also expect targeted marketing on social media.
