FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
LAWRENCEBURG, TENN — David Crockett State Park will welcome cyclists from across Tennessee as part of the Bicycle Ride Across Tennessee (BRAT), a multi-day cycling tour that highlights scenic backroads, state parks, and small towns throughout the state. BRAT benefits the Cumberland Trail and the Tennessee Park Rangers Association. This annual event attracts more than 300 visitors to the host community.
Lawrence County offers cycling routes suited to a variety of skill levels, providing an engaging experience for participants and their guests. With David Crockett State Park serving as a central hub, riders will have the opportunity to enjoy Lawrenceburg’s Public Square and explore a variety of local businesses throughout downtown and across the community.
“We are so excited to host the BRAT for 2026,” said Ann Paley, Manager of David Crockett State Park. “I can’t wait to show off our park, our county, and our warm hospitality. I know this will be a memorable experience for participants and our community!”
“This year, the Bicycle Ride Across Tennessee will feature two base camps,” said a BRAT representative. “For the first half of the week, riders will call David Crockett State Park home, and for the second half of the week, Cedars of Lebanon State Park. Each day, riders will have multiple route options depending on their goals, with distances ranging from 25 to 100 miles. All proceeds from the ride will support the Cumberland Trail State Scenic Trail, the Tennessee Park Rangers Association, David Crockett State Park, Cedars of Lebanon State Park, and the Friends of the Cumberland Trail.”
“David Crockett State Park is a tremendous asset, and we are excited to partner with their team to welcome BRAT riders and their guests to Lawrence County,” said Ryan Egly, President & CEO of the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce. “This is exactly the kind of tourism that creates real economic impact and brings new visitors into our restaurants, shops, and lodging. Our local business community will be on the frontlines of the experience, showing the very best of southern hospitality and giving riders a reason to come back.”
