Lawrenceburg, TN – April 28, 2025 – The Lawrence County School System and the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce proudly hosted the annual Work Ethic Distinction Celebration on Monday, April 28, at the historic Crockett Theatre, honoring local seniors who exemplify what it truly means to be college & career ready.
This year, 125 seniors from Lawrence County High School, Loretto High School, and Summertown High School earned the Work Ethic Distinction by demonstrating exceptional commitment to reliability, responsibility, and workplace readiness. Each student completed an impressive portfolio that showcased strong attendance, positive discipline, a drug-free commitment, hands-on work experience, career and technical education (CTE) participation, industry-recognized certifications, job shadowing, and more. Their hard work, dedication, and focus have set them apart as leaders of tomorrow.
The celebration also featured a keynote address from Director of Schools Michael Adkins, who encouraged students to continue building character, stay motivated, and invest in lifelong growth.
A highlight of the evening was the announcement of the three grand prize winners, who each received a $5,000 award Through the Work Ethic Matters drawing:

- Taylor Neal – Summertown High School
