LAWRENCEBURG, TENN — When Lawrence County gathers in Lawrenceburg for the Chamber’s 69th Annual Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 7, a very special group of individuals will lead the way as the players from Abigail’s Plan Miracle League take on the honor of grand marshals.
“It’s an honor for Abigail and our Miracle League players with special needs to serve as this year’s grand marshals,” Tommy Lee Kidd states. “These baseball players with special needs embody the spirit of joy, inclusion, and perseverance that makes Lawrence County such a remarkable community. God uses our population of people with special needs to bring out the best in all of us. We’re all so excited to celebrate the Christmas season with everyone!”
The Abigail’s Plan Miracle League program has brought countless smiles, connections, and memories to Lawrence County, uniting athletes of all abilities for the love of the game. The community has continually rallied behind this inspiring program, which has become a symbol of resilience, kindness, and the power of teamwork. Since its founding, the Abigail’s Plan Miracle League has provided a space where everyone can experience the thrill of sports, no matter their physical or developmental abilities.
“Selecting Abigail’s Plan Miracle League players as grand marshals this year highlights what Christmas and community spirit are all about,” explained Lawrence County Chamber President Ryan Egly. “These players remind us of the impact we can make when we come together to support and uplift each other.”
Sponsored by Loretto Telecom, the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce’s 69th Annual Christmas Parade will start at 5:00 pm on December 7, 2024. With the theme “Christmas Through the Decades,” thousands will line the streets of Lawrenceburg to watch the marching bands, creative floats, and Santa Claus bring the holiday magic to life.
